It may be more effective to target these small niche terms if the big ones are too competitive. Also, I have found in my experience that sometimes the small nich terms actually bring in as many if not more sales than the bigger keyword terms, although the bigger terms may in fact bring you more traffic.

Next you will want to make sure your home business website has perhaps seven or eight percent keyword density for the specific keywords that you are targeting, throughout the whole document including the meta tags and title as well as alt tags, etc. Next you will want to do an extensive linking campaign. This portion of your SEO efforts will probably determine your success more than any other.

You will want to obtain as many high quality and relevant links to your site as you possibly can. This will be a key portion of the success or failure of your home business website. And here is another vital part: you want the keywords you are targeting to be in the anchor or title text of the backlinks. The search index sites naturally will rank you in large part based on how other sites describe you.
